JUN 13, 2005 (newstodate): Air safety in Serbia-Montenegro's airspace will benefit from a revamping of its air traffic control system.
EIB, the European Investment Bank has agreed a loan of 34 million euro for the purpose of improving the country's flight control system and secure its harmonisation with European standards.
Earlier this year the EBRD also approved a 33.5 million euro loan to Serbia-Montenegro for this purpose, and the Serbia-Montenegrin Flight Control Agency has decided to invest 22.5 million euro.
With the 34 million euro now guaranteed by EIB, the total financial support for this project has reached the 90 million euro mark.
