JUN 03, 2005 (newstodate): Finland's export air cargo, accounted for by IATA's CASS Nordic, to China and Taiwan was almost 1,000 tonnes during the first four months of this year.
China generated a total of 800 tonnes with Shanghai, 400 tonnes, and Hong Kong, 200 tonnes, topping the list of destinations.
As Finnair Cargo is not subscribing to CASS Nordic, their and non-IATA carriers' volumes are not included in these figures.
Industry sources estimate that Finnair Cargo would add some 400 tonnes to this figure, bringing the total to 1,200 tonnes during the first four months of this year.
Finnish export airfreight to Taiwan on CASS member carriers totalled 153 tonnes during the period.
