JUN 06, 2005 (newstodate): Sweden's export airfreight market is expected to grow by 5.2 percent annually in volumes during the period 2004-2010, according to a Lufthansa Cargo study.
In 2004, Sweden generated a total of 153,863 tonnes of export air cargo, making it the single largest export airfreight market in the Nordic region.
North America remains Sweden's No 1 air cargo market at 38.4 percent, followed by Asia/Pacific with 33.9 percent, and Europe, at 14.3 percent.
The LH Cargo study expects the Asia/Pacific markets to increase the most with 6.5 percent annually, while the North American markets are forecast to grow by 4.2 percent per year during the period.
According to the forecast, Sweden will generate a total of 208,295 tonnes of export airfreight by 2010.
