JUN 16, 2005 (newstodate): Austrian Airlines, already operating a fleet of 18 Fokker 100 and Fokker 70 aircraft, plans to add another six Fokker 100 in the coming years.
The Fokker aircraft is primarily used to served routes on the carrier's expanding East European network, and the carrier recently acquired nine Fokker 100 aircraft for that purpose.
To ensure logistics support for the Fokker aircraft fleet, Austrian Airlines has now signed a five-years contract with Stork Aerospace company.
Under the contract, and based on Fokker Aircraft's ABACUS program, the provider will set up a lease stock at Vienna Airport.
The ABACUS program currently provides services to 15 operators with more than 100 aircraft.
