JUN 17, 2005 (newstodate): The Paris Air Show, now finishing off with public days June 17-19, has intensified the Airbus/Boeing infight for delivery of the new long range, medium-size aircraft to the airline industry.
From a fragile base with only 10 firm orders from one operator for the Airbus A350, the aircraft has so far fetched 95 new orders at the Air Show, thus totalling 105 aircraft ordered by six operators and customers.
The order book for Boeing 787, however, still leads the day with orders from 20 operators and customers for a total of 260 aircraft.
