MAY 02, 2005 (newstodate): Delivery of the second Boeing 737 aircraft to Kaliningradavia has been postponed due to the carrier's current problems.
Delivery is now expected by June, depending on the reactivation of the airline's AOL that has been revoked, so far till May 15, as the airline fell short of standards during an inspection of aircraft component life-cycles and documentation.
Also plagueing civil aviation in the Baltic enclave is the on-going repair of runway surfaces that will continue till July 1.
In the meantime, Aeroflot has upped frequencies on the routes between Kaliningrad and Moscow, crucial to the survival of the region.
