As the latest result, India has signed a new agreement with Germany, lifting the volume of weekly flights from both sides from currently 16 to 50 from summer, 2006.
India has recently signed similar liberal air traffic agreements with the UK and USA, France, Mauritius, Qatar, and China.
Next to China, the Indian market is foreseen to be next in line to top world aviation development.
According to Airbus' latest market forecast, the Indian domestic air transport market that has grown by 4.5 percent annually during 1984-2004 will increase by 12.7 percent annually during 2004-2014, also reflecting on international growth figures.
