MAY 27, 2005 (newstodate): From May 31 and continuing through the summer, Finnair will add non-stop flights between Helsinki and Hong Kong.
With effect from the same date, flights to Singapore via Bangkok are being stepped up from three times weekly to daily rotations.
-Demand for flights to Bangkok and Singapore is especially strong in June and July, and in both directions. Meanwhile, non-stop flights to Hong Kong, without the previous stop at Bangkok, means that flying time is slashed by four hours, the company says.
Further down the line, Finnair plans to boost its services to the Far East from September 4, adding Guangzhou as the carrier's fourth Chinese destination, together with Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
The MD-11 route to Guangzhou will be served thrice weekly.
