MAY 30, 2005 (newstodate): Latest statistics on aircraft operations in Czech airports show a continued consolidation at Prague Ruzyne Airport.
In April, the volume of aircraft operations at Prague Ruzyune Airport was up 17.4 percent, to 13,110 operations.
Ostrava Airport is also growing at a fast pace, up 65.7 percent to 1,433 movements.
Ostrava International Airport is the biggest regional airport in the Czech Republic, serving the Moravia industrial region, and also claimed a 40.7 percent growth in cargo volumes in 2004, and added its first international passenger route on May, 23, as German low cost carrier Cirrus started a new route to Munich.
Brno Airport saw its volume of aircraft operations dropping by 6.5 percent in April, to 2,039, but has now added Ryanair to its airline customer portfolio.
Finally, aircraft operations at Karlovy Vary fell by 72.5 percent to 732 movements in April.
