MAY 31, 2005 (newstodate): Chinese and Taiwanese destinations rank high on North European Billund Airport's Top-20 list of airports.
During the period May 1-15, 2005, Hong Kong generated 115 tonnes of export air cargo, while Shanghai generated 170 tonnes.
On the import side, Billund Airport handled 549 tonnes of cargo from Hong Kong, and 315 tonnes from Shanghai. 64 tonnes came in from Beijing.
Another important destination in the region, Tapei on Taiwan generated 15 tonnes of export air cargo, while imports from Taiwan were 190 tonnes during the period.
The figures comprise volumes on carriers excluding those handled by SAS - SAS Cargo, Singapore Airlines Cargo and Thai Airways Int'l.
