MAY 31, 2005 (newstodate): By this summer, Adria Airways plans to complete construction of a new hangar allowing it to further expand its third party aircraft maintenance work.
With the new hangar, the company can perform maintenance on three CRJ aircraft simultaneously, or one Airbus aircraft.
Since September 2002, when Bombardier authorized Adria as its first European heavy maintenance facility, the company has carried out 3rd party maintenance work on 189 CRJ aircraft, primarily for Lufthansa, 90, Brit Air, 36, and Austrian Airlines Group, 17 aircraft.
77 aircraft were served in 2004, and 20 aircraft were in for maintenance during the first three months of this year.
