MAY 02, 2005 (newstodate): After a succesful performance in 2004, the Icelandic Avion Group is now raising turnover targets for 2005 even higher, to 1.4. billion dollars.
The Group reached a turnover in 2004 at 1.07 billion dollars, well over the target at 1.0 billion.
Among the Group's companies Excell Airways was the major contributor with slightly more than half the turonover, while Air Atlanta generated one third of the total Gropu turnover.
The Avion Group started operation on January 1, 2005, and comprises Air Atlanta Icelandic, �slandsflug, Air Atlanta Europe, Excel Airways, Avia Services, Air Atlanta Aero Engineering and SouthAir.
The Group's companies operate a total of 63 Boeing and Airbus Aircraft.
