APR 28, 2005 (newstodate): After opening traffic with three weekly flights from April 21, the Swedish airline City Airlines has announced plans to expand from May 17 to six weekly flights between Gothenburg and Tallinn, Estonia.
City Airlines operates from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport and introduced their Tallinn-service after Estonian Air's decision to pull out from the route.
-Results have been very positive, and besides increasing frequency on this route we are also looking into opening new routes from the start of the next winter's traffic program to the Baltic region, with Latvia and Lithuania as natural additions to our current service, says Tom Ericsson, City Airline president.
City Airline now operates a fleet of three EMB 145 and three EMB 135, but according to Mr Ericsson the airline may well add more aircraft this year already.
