APR 21, 2005 (newstodate): Slovak Airlines has terminated its air cargo business.
The airline is now operating former Austrian Airlines Fokker F100 aircraft that offer little cargo capacity.
Besides the Fokker F100, Slovak Airlines also operates one Boeing 737-300 for charter flights and will take in a second similar ex-Lauda Air aircraft by the middle of May, but charter operations do not comprise airfreight serivices.
The carrier expects to see 2006 figures in the black after a healthy recovery thanks not least to strong financial injections from Austrian Airlines Group, and reports having achieved the quality standards defined by its close partner and part-owner, Austrian Airlines.
