APR 25, 2005 (newstodate): The Russian civil aviation aurhotities suspended Kaliningradavia's AOL after a series of sustained technical problems with a bearing on air safety.
The airline currently operates one Boeing 737-400 and one TU-134 aircraft.
In April the carrier had technical problems on its Boeing aircraft on every second flight, and only nine flights were actually operated without any irregularities reported, sources say.
Also in April the TU-134 was operated with sustained APU problems.
So far Kaliningradavia's operations have been suspended till May 15, but sources say a new inspection will be performed on April 26.
The carrier expects delivery of one Boeing 737-500 aircraft at the end of this week.
