APR 04, 2005 (newstodate): Red tape has forced Wizz Air to suspend its air services between Katowice and Gdansk, part of the route Katowice-Stockholm.
Form April 15, the airline will instead fly directly between Stockholm and Gdansk, but this will entail lost revenue and lower profits on the route, the carrier says.
-In the EU you can combine flights and passengers without any limitations and we do not understand why you can not do the same in Poland, an EU member state. We regret very much that the situation results in eliminating low cost air travel opportunities for domestic passengers as well as a new connection from Gdansk to Stockholm, says Jzsef Vradi, Wizz Air CEO.
