APR 08, 2005 (newstodate): Armenian carrier Armavia has announced plans for an expansion of its services to Turkey.
Already operating twice weekly from Yerevan to Istanbul, the airline will also open a new route to Antalya.
Last month a rift developed between Turkey and Armenia over the use of Turkish airspace, as Turkey blocked the entry into its aprspace to an Armavia aircraft en-route from Aleppo, Syria, to Yerevan.
Turkey cited "technical reasons" for the refusal of overflight.
