APR 21, 2005 (newstodate): As part of its ongoing fleet renewal program, Malev has last weekend taken in a new Boeing 737 New Generation aircraft.
The program aims at reducing aircraft fleet maintenance costs by 15 percent after phasing out earlier-model Boeing 737s from January this year.
After its fleet replacement program closing this month, Malev will have a fleet comprising five Boeing 737-800, seven 737-700, and six 737-600 aircraft.
The carrier also operates twoageing Boeing 767 aircraft for its long-haul flights.
