APR 06, 2005 (newstodate): Lufthansa Systems is eyeing significant growth potentials for its solutions among airlines in the Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
-In Europe, and especially in the Eastern European countries, there are still many airlines with unique IT-solutions, but airlines are now moving from licensing to IT outsourcing, and we are able to meet their demands as to both applications and operations, says Sandra Hammer, Lufthansa Systems Corporate Communications manager.
In 2004, Lufthansa System's over-all revenues were up three percent to euro 628 million, but revenues from customers outside the Lufthansa Cargo Group climbed by 9.8 percent to euro 224.2 million and thus accounted for almost 36 percent of total revenues.
