APR 25, 2005 (newstodate): Lufthansa is introducing significant changes with the start of the summer schedule from March 27, 2005.
The Lufthansa Cargo freighter services to Los Angeles, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Colombo and Lahore will be terminated. In addition, the Round the World service will be discontinued after four years.
At the same time, frequencies on some routes from Frankfurt will be considerably increased. These include Chicago, from four to six weekly flights, Seoul via Tashkent from four to five weekly flights, Johannesburg via Nairobi from six to seven, and Shanghai via Tashkent from six to seven weekly flights.
Weekly frequency on the route FrankfurtDelhiGuangzhouTashkentFrankfurt will go up from three to five, and FrankfurtNew YorkAtlanta(Dallas/Fort Worth)-Frankfurt will go up from four to five.
