APR 27, 2005 (newstodate): Suspended since the turn of the year, the route between Lodz, Poland, and Copenhagen, Denmark, has finally been closed.
The route, introduced from November 3, 2004, by Danish carrier Cimber Air flying three times weekly with ATR-42 aircraft, did not achieve results to warrant continued services.
The current runway construction works at Lodz made operations difficult, says the carrier, but the start up of low cost operators at Lodz has also contributed to the decision to pull out from the route.
