APR 11, 2005 (newstodate): From May 1, the German airline Aero Flight plans to start low cost traffic between German airports and St Petersburg, Russia.
The carrier will compete with Lufthansa on routes from Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, and Dusseldorf at rates much below current Lufthansa levels.
Aero Flight obtained its AOC on March 12, 2004, and now operates a fleet comprising four Airbus A320 and two Airbus A321 aircraft.
New destinations on the airline's route network from this summer are also Dubrovnik, Split, Tivat, and Sarajevo.
