APR 21, 2005 (newstodate): The visit to China by the French prime minister is expected to result in major Chinese orders for Airbus aircraft.
During the visit, the parties will sign a deal comprising 30 Airbus aircraft, including five Airbus A380 for China Southern Airlines, negotiated in January this year.
In February, Air China was also reportedly negotiating a lease agreement for two A380 aircraft.
The fast expanding and lucrative Chinese market for aircraft acquisitions is estimated to total some 2,800 aircraft over the next 20 years.
