APR 01, 2005 (newstodate): Pending government approvals, Trans Caribbean Airways, TCA, plans to start new routes from the Dutch Antilles to destinations including Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, and Moscow.
The fledgling airline will operate six times weekly to European destinations, and thrice weekly to Mmoscow, using Airbus A340 aircraft.
TCA's plans are closely related with an Airbus aircraft maintenance center to be set up on Curacao Hato Airport to serve regional Airbus operators.
TCA, that received its economic permit from the Antillean government in March, is now in the process of obtaining its AOC and other licences required to initiate operations.
The business concept of TCA includes a strong focus on air cargo alongside passenger operations.
