APR 04, 2005 (newstodate): In this summer's schedule, Armenian carrier Armavia will offer flights to 29 destinations in 14 countries, with production reaching 78 regular flights per week.
Among the news are routes from Yerevan to Rome and Tashkent from April 6, and frequency will be upped on routes from Yerevan to Moscow, Novosibirsk, and Paris.
The airline will operate a total of five weekly flights into Moscow's Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports, allowing for easy transfer to other airlines for onward flights on interlining carriers.
Armavia will also provide six weekly flights to Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport synchronised with the flights of Armavia's strategic partner, Siberia airline, allowing for flights into almost any major destination in Russia.
-In 2004, the main emphasis was on the development of the route network of Armavia, conclusion of interline and special tariff agreements with leading air companies of the world, and improvement of the quality of service. Now the main task of the airline is to launch and develop the existing agreements and routes, says Mushegh Sayadian, Armavia Commercial Director.
