APR 29, 2005 (newstodate): Airbus' outgoing CEO, Noel Forgeard, remains confident of the eventual success of the company's latest bid, the Airbus A350.
While the program, launched commercially in December, 2004, has so far landed one order for only ten aircraft, Mr Forgeard says the A350 will fetch 50 order at the forthcoming Le Bourget exhibition, and one hundred before the end of this year.
In comparison, the Boeing alternative 787 Dreamliner, launched one year ago, has so far logged orders for 237 aircraft.
