APR 08, 2005 (newstodate): Air Astana plans to add three more Boeing 757 aircraft this summer.
The fleet expansion will enable the carrier to increase its operations by adding new routes including flights from Atyrau to Istanbul and from Aktau to Moscow.
Air Astana is also venting its ambition to acquire "a number of" Boeing 787 aircraft within the next five to seven years.
The airline is currently leasing 11 aircraft including three Boeing 737-700/800, three Boeing 757-200, and five Fokker-50 aircraft, but has decided to move in the future to aircraft ownership rather than lease arrangements.
