MAR 04, 2005 (newstodate): In January, Russian airline UTAir saw its cargo up by eight percent to a total of 438 tonnes.
The carrier also increased its passenger volumes by 16 percent to 111,970, of which 101,977 were lifted on the airline's own aircraft, an increase by 24 percent over January last year.
In 2004 UTAir's corporate governance obtianed the B++ rating that puts the airline on the list of the top twenty members of Russia's business community.
The rating indicates that the airline is safe for investors, and its business is open and transparent, the rating council noted in its report.
