MAR 15, 2005 (newstodate): The Swiss-Israeli company Swissport and Angel has protested the outcome of the recent tender for a cargo complex at Belgrade Airport.
In February, the tender was won by US company DynCorp International that will form a JV with Belgrade Airport to secure the construction and development of a cargo logistic center worth 60.6 million dollars.
But Swissport and Angel complains of foul play, requesting a cancellation of tender and election of new members of tender commission.
The formal complaint hasput a temporary hold on the project while the issues are being investigated.
In 2004 the US Trade and Development Agency donated USD 800,000 to initiate a feasibility study for Belgrade Airport to become a regional center for cargo air traffic.
