MAR 31, 2005 (newstodate): Moscow-based carrier Atlant-Soyuz is considering to add Western-built aircraft to its fleet.
The airline is reportedly in the market for leasing six or seven Airbus A320 aircraft that would allow the airline to operate routes to EU and other Western countries now closed to its non-compliant Russian aircraft, including TU-134.
Among the airline's plans is a route between Moscow and Riga, Latvia, pending a solution to the issue of traffic rights, local sources say.
