MAR 09, 2005 (newstodate): Finnair Cargo saw its over-all cargo volumes down by 0.7 percent in February.
The airline lifted a total of 6,538 tonnes of cargo in February, while the totals for January-February still increased by 2.4 percent to 12,951 tonnes.
Cargo volumes on Finnair's scheduled traffic was down 4.9 percent in February, to 5,458 tonnes, with negative growth on all sectors except on the North Atlantic traffic that grew by 12.9 percent.
By contrast the volumes on Finnair's scheduled cargo charter traffic was up by 32 percent to 1,041 tonnes, and by no less than 54.4 percent during January-February where a total of 2,064 tonnes were transported.
