MAR 15, 2005 (newstodate): The new EU Commission is taking a proactive stance on pending civil aviation issues, calling for a review of the talks with USA and a high-level meeting with China on aviation.
The Commission's VP, Jacques Barrot will visit Washington on March 21 and 22 to review the progress of negotiation with USA that have been conducted since 2003.
And in June, an EU-China summit will be jointly organised in Beijing to further a comprehensive open aviation agreement between China and EU to replace the current bi-laterals in effect between China and EU countries.
