MAR 17, 2005 (newstodate): On April 2, Dragonair Cargo will operate its first trans-Pacific cargo flight with the launch of a thrice-weekly freighter service to New York JFK.
The new service will be operated with a wet-leased Boeing 747-400 freighter into New York, the carrier's 11th destination.
Wet-leasing of the aircraft has enabled Dragonair to start its trans-Pacific operations ahead of schedule. Original plans built on the delivery of five converted B747-400 freighters from the end of 2006.
