MAR 16, 2005 (newstodate): The tender for building a new terminal at Georgia's Tblisi Airport will close on March 21, and so far only two contenders have emerged.
The airport, currently amidst a major modernisation process, will have a new terminal doubling the current capacity of the airport and providing modern facilities, including four departure gates with potentions for a further two to be added in later stages.
So far the German-based company Tacom Gloriya Pivden and the Georgian architect Goga Beridze have filed proposals, while a third participant, the Georgian construction firm Paladi-Palace, is also reportedly to sign up.
