FEB 22, 2005 (newstodate): From March 29, Singapore Airlines Cargo plans to add Istanbul as new freighter destination.
The company will operate twice weekly to Istanbul as an additional stop on the existing route from Singapore via Kuwait to Amsterdam.
Singapore Airlines already operates four weekly B777 services between Singapore and Istanbul.
From March 2, the company also plans to inaugurate a new freighter service to the new Central Japan International Airport near Nagoya.
The new freighter service to CENTRAIR will be operated twice weekly, making it the third SIA Cargo freighter destination in Japan after Tokyo and Osaka.
Singapore Airlines Cargo currently operates a fleet of fourteen Boeing 747-400 Mega Ark Freighters on a global network comprising 68 cities in 35 countries.
Two more Boeing 747-400 aircraft are due
for delivery in September and December 2005.
