FEB 17, 2005 (newstodate): SAS is currently analysing the market for aircraft smaller than the airbus A330/A340 to operate and expand some of its Transatlantic routes.
-We are currently not in a position to invest in new own aircraft, so we are looking into other solutions to facilitate expansion, says Mikkel Nielsen, SAS Denmark press spokesman.
Mr Nielsen says SAS is assessing various aircraft types to match capacity demands in specific segments, but SAS declines to comment on any specific options for the moment.
