FEB 24, 2005 (newstodate): The State Council of the Russian Federation has now decided to set up a United Aircraft Company to bring back Russia as a major manufacturer of aircraft.
Vladimir Putin has subsequently asked the government to draft a decree and a scenario for the new company.
