FEB 04, 2005 (newstodate): Headcquartered in Seattle, aircraft leasing company AWAS saw a strong performance in 2004, with total aircraft delivered to lessees to 21.
Among customers in 2004 were Swedish low-cost airline FlyMe and Romanian budget airline Blue Air.
Throughout the year AWAS delivered aircraft to 14 customers, extended leases on 15 additional aircraft and arranged the sale of one B767-200, four MD-83s, three A310-300s, two Fokker 50s and twelve B737-300s.
The AWAS fleet now stands at 158 aircraft, and the year ended with AWAS having 75 customer airlines based in 45 countries around the world.
