Due to Russian customs requirements it is, however, not allowed to operated on intra-Russian routes.

The airline is now focussed on straightening out issues issues including customs approvals, Russian registration of its aircraft, and obtaining Russian flight permits.
Kaliningradavia has ordered a total of four Boeing 737 aircraft on a lease arrangement, part of a total batch of 19 aircraft to be received over the year.
