The airport is seeking a role as a transit and re-fuelling stop on routes between Asia and Europe, and is now actively in the market for foreign investments in its infrastructure.
The project is estimated to require investments of USD44.9 million, of which 41.1 million is to come from foreign sources.
Among the airlines now serving Magadan are Russian Sky and Siberia Airlines.
