Dec 8, 2005 (newstodate): Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport expects a total of 82,000 tonnes of cargo and mail in 2005, up 12.3 percent on last year.
In November, the airport generated 5,793 tonnes of international cargo, and 867 tonnes of domestic cargo - a total of 6,600 tonnes, against a total of 5,232 tonnes in November 2004, representing an increase by 26.1 percent.
-The increase is due to the launch of the Lufthansa Cargo, Japan Airlines Cargo freighter to Nagoya, Japan, from September 27, says Knut Stabaek, Oslo Airport marketing director.
-Oslo Airport is now served by six weekly freighter flights to the Far East, lifting primarily Norwegian salmon exports to our core markets, he says.
