Dec 2, 2005 (newstodate): On November 30, the Russian airline Russian Sky launched a new route between Moscow and Magadan.
The route, operated on a weekly charter basis, is served with an IL-62 aircraft.
Set up in 1995 under the name East Line Air, the carrier was renamed Russian Sky in October, 2004, after joint-stock structure changes.
In August, 2005, the carrier was acquired by VIM-AVIA Airlines, with Konstantinov Andrey Aleksandrovich as director general.
