Dec 20, 2005 (newstodate): In 2004, Moscow Domodedovo Airport aggregated 52.4 percent of the total cargo at the capital's three largest international airports.
Second came Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport with 42 percent, and Vnukovo Airport with 5.5 percent of the combines volumes.
Measured against 2003, Domodevo's share grew 2.2 percent, Sheremetyevo increased by 5.1 percent, while Vnukovo dropped by 7.3 percent in cargo traffic share.
In 2004, Moscow Domodedovo increased its total cargo traffic by 6.2 percent, y-o-y, to 189,683 tonnes against 178,538 tonnes in 2003.
The airport's prospects for 2005 are more bleak, though, with total volumes estimated to land at 116,000 tonnes, down 37.2 percent, sources say.
