The new Lithuanian Eurocat air traffic management system meets European standards and the latest operational requirements for air traffic control.
The system provides automatic flight and radar data processing, combined with flight monitoring aids and safety facilities, such as short term conflict alert, minimum safe altitude warning and restricted area warning.
Vilnius international airport handles 70 percent of the Lithuania's airport traffic that increased by 31 percent during the first 10 months of this year.
