Dec 2, 2005 (newstodate): From December 16, Lithuanian carrier Amber Air will start operations on the route, long in the planning, between Palanga and Oslo.
The route wil be operated thrice weekly with the company's SAAB 340 aircraft.
Amber Air had also aired its intention to step into the route between Palanga and Billund, Denmark, following Air Lithuania's bankruptcy on November 22.
Instead, the Lithuanian carrier DOT will start operating four times weekly on the route from today, December 2.
Operating a fleet of two SAAB 340, Amber Air now operates twice daily between Palanga and Hamburg.
-At least we think that DOT will have nothing to do on the route to Hamburg, says Algirdas Barteska, Amber Air.
