Dec 23, 2005 (newstodate): Kazakhstan's government has decided on the establishment of a new regional airline company.
The project is an integral part of the civil aviation development programme for 2006-2008 by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
The projected company will focus on air trafficv between the country's northern and eastern part, between the capital Astana and the regional centres, and between Astana and destinations in neighbouring countries.
Besides this new airline, Air Astana will provide the country with international connections.
