Dec 21, 2005 (newstodate): In a surprising move, several top-level officers of LOT Polish Airlines have been axed.
Marek Grabarek, the President of the Management Board of LOT Polish Airlines, as well as members of the Board Wladyslaw Metelski and Piotr Dubno were sacked at the meeting on December 19 of the Supervisory Board of LOT Polish Airlines.
Pending the outcome of the search for a new president, Tomasz Kopoczynki has been named interim President of the Management Board.
Also the Supervisory Board President Piotr Czyzewski and one of its members, Slawomir Lachowski, have filed their resignations.
The hunt for a new president will begin after the next Supervisory Board meeting on December 29, 2005, the company says.
