Dec 8, 2005 (newstodate): Albania's first low cost carrier, Belle Air will take to the sky on December 15.
The carrier's first aircraft is a MD-80, operated on a wet-lease contract with Air Adriatic.
The initial route network comprises routes from Tirana to Istanbul, Athens, Ancona, Bologna Genoa, Milan, Pisa, Rome and Verona, primarily targetting the Albanian ethnic communities.
Plans are already on the table for another MD-80 and an ATR 42 to add more destinations to the network.
