Dec 27, 2005 (newstodate): From October 1, 2006, Emirates plans to start Scandinavian passenger aircraft services.
Initially, the airline will operate four weekly flights to Copenhagen with A330-200 aircraft, expanding to weekly operations from October 29, 2006, already.
-While plans have been on the table for some time, the early start admittedly comes as a surprise. But an aircraft, originally designated to another purpose, became available, and this facilitated the early launch of the new route, says Goran Hansson, Aviation Marketing Scandinavia AB, passenger GSA for Emirates in the Nordic market.
On the cargo side, Emirates SkyCargo is represented by ScanPartners in the Nordic markets, and already operates freighter services at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport
