Dec 6, 2005 (newstodate): Armenia's Zvartnots International Airport is only gradually resuming operations after being closed since Saturday.
Despite its CAT III equipment, extremely poor weather conditions rendered the airport's landing systems inoperative, forcing all flights to be cancelled, including those of Aeroflot that now has some 700 stranded passsengers lodged in hotels in the region.
